From Deborah M with Stronger B-Town:
CALL FOR ACTION: Show that we can diversify housing options in Bloomington's neighborhoods!
Thursday, July 25th at 5:30 pm -- the hearing for proposed duplex at 506 E Wylie St. is back on the agenda for the Board of Zoning appeals. Planning staff has indicated it the proposal meets the conditional use criteria in the UDO and recommended approval.
However, Bryan Park Neighborhood Association leadership seems firmly opposed to duplex development and are attempting to use the building's size and form as a means to persuade the BZA to deny the conditional use.
NOTE: If this proposal were for a single family home, the building's size and form would not be subject to review under the UDO.
